Hand assembled set of Thadobati bowls under 6 inches wide chosen to span a range of notes and to sound great together. This wonderful set includes many different sizes, ages, states of preservation and sub-styles. Attention has been paid to making the intervals between bowls fairly even so you can hear the steps, some of which are less than half a note. The tones range from low in the fourth octave to part of the fifth.
All the bowls are good to excellent quality pieces. The set contains a range of sub-styles, ages and states of preservation.
The set costs $110 a bowl. Individually priced, some bowls would be higher and some lower sold individually.
The set comes with full statistics for each bowl, dimensions, weight, frequencies, notes and overtones. Each bowl is individually labeled with the note and octave, whether the bowl is sharp or flat of the true note as well as their place in the sequence. The labeling is really helpful, makes it easy to lay the bowls out and associate them.
It takes time and energy to put something like this together. It also takes a special ear and eye. There is no bowl in this set that I did not first select over in Asia out of stacks of similar material. They had to catch my ear individually over there first.
Sets are assembled to order out of our extensive stock. Each set is unique, each set amazing.
