2645 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with peaceful high pitched soundscape
Thick Thadobati with faint art and brassy patina. Clear and coherent soundscape lead by a very high strike tone. There is an initial soft flutter but for the most part the tones are peacefully solid. Whatever the initial volume the overtones quiet quickly leaving that solid high primary tone. Nice bowl if you are looking to add a high note to a set. Rim play is ok, you can bring it to volume with wood, mixture of primary and overtone with little off the edge sustain. No leather play. With overtones at 6, A#6.
