Extra thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with emerging singing high

5070 Extra thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with emerging singing high

Extra thick Thadobati with very straight walls and a broad rim graced with two relief lines. Extensive art on all surfaces of this bowl with just enough wear to show its age. A great example of the craft of the old bowl makers.. Harmonic soundscape where you first hear the fundamental then the primary upper 6th octave overtone kicks in the fades. Longevity on the primary tone is good. A softer mallet gives a nice effect (second part recording 1). The bowl needs the extra heft of more wood, smoothest with a massive yew wand, ok with a larger stick. With overtones at E6, A#6, G#7.
