5549 Rare Tiny, Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with inscription
Tiny very thick Thadobati with traces of old artwork and a clear set of rim ticks. Quite special is the tiny inscription meaning quite likely this was made as a ceremonial bowl. It is smooth to the touch both from wear and fine workmanship and is graced with creamy original patina. Sweet fluttering high note with evenly arranged overtones. Sustain is ok with a single strike, even better if you fluff it with a few taps. Rim play requires wands, hard ebony for primary and overtone, soft yew for overtone only. With overtones at A6, D#7, G#7, C#8.
