Thick Exceptional Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet high tones

3209 Thick Exceptional Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet high tones

Bright large Thadobati thick and 2 1/2 Lbs. with exceptionally well preserved markings. It is of the triple circle style with a crushed rim, very old features. It has clear and extensive artwork inside and out, only the rim lines look a bit worn. Sweet high inside a wavering soundscape, the bowl flutters with in elliptical pattern. Late in the sustain, which is quite good, the sounds flatten out – become steady. with its sharp edge this is a wood only bowl. A simple ringing stick sings the overtone with absolutely spectacular sustain. Interestingly a massive wand plays a bit of the bass This is a rare example of an exceptionally well preserved old style bowl. You wonder where it has been as it could date three or even more centuries back. A collector’s item, especially if you are interested in the old artistry. With overtones at A5, , .
