Thick large Thadobati with worn art and creamy original patina. Harmonious and sweet soundscape, very high for the size of the bowl, that plays on with a very good sustain. The fluttering is so rapid you could hear it as solid. If you hit the bowl hard enough you can get an incongruous high note, something I did not do in the recording. The bowl is discounted for this imperfection. Fine rim play. It takes a few spins but leather sings out the pure high primary tone. I tried a variety of woods and settled on the yew tiny wand as the way to play the highs and find the discontinuity. Looks to be about 1800 Hz on the scope. Just listen to the tail on recording two – long lasting purity and intensity with no trace of the flaw a few seconds after the stick lifts off. With overtones at A5, D#6, A6, E7.
