3796 Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with active high notes
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Bhutani style Thadobati with the complex rim etching pattern. This very old bowl has lost a fair amount of its artwork over the years, still you can see the remains of an unusual sunburst pattern on the side walls. Premium soundscape with a subtle low and sweet highs. Good longevity. The low is solid and provides a nice floor while the overtone pulses and the ultra-high twills. Rim plays fine with leather, tends towards the low note. Rim is a bit sharp for wood, once you lift off the sustain is fine. Rare style with excellent sound With overtones at D#5, D6, E7.
