Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with rolling primary and complex highs
3833 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with rolling primary and complex highs
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone |
Thick large Thadobati with two clear lines of external tickmarks. Interestingly the bowl looks quite worn inside. The clarity on the exterior may simply be that the tick marks were dug so deep. Bright soundscape with complexity focused on the higher octaves. The slowly rolling primary tone is a soft presence after the initial burst of sound. Premium harmony. Good longevity with the high note the longest. Good volume off the rim, you need either leather or a massive yew wand to tame the edge. With overtones at E5, D#6, B6, A#4.
