Super Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with forceful power

3910 Super Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with forceful power

Super large extra thick Thadobati a great example of this most ancient style of singing bowl. At over 9 inches wide and 4 inches tall this is one of the biggest of this old Thadobati style we have seen. The color is a sort of glowing gold peering through darker patina. In the broad center of the bowl you can see vestiges of inner circles. Under the broad rim some faint etching is visible. This huge bowl delivers its sound with forceful power. Overtones flutter as the solid fundamental tone penetrates, That middle C bass remains the strongest presence throughout the excellent sustain. This is a bowl that only takes a light tap to bring to volume. Unlike some thick large bowls this one sends out its energy mostly as audible sound. Great off the rim with leather – a nice pure middle C with excellent longevity. Fundamental only with leather while the overtone can be nicely played with a massive Zebrawood wand. With overtones at F#5, F6, C7.
