3911 Very Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a consistent overtone

Very large Thadobati with vestiges of the oldest type of artwork, a crushed rim and broad exterior circles. This bowl has been used so much that there is a paper thin spot on the bottom with a tiny crack. The bowl has consistent creamy original patina. Quite the high primary tone for such a large bowl, it plays along with the consistent overtone which is the strongest note through the sustain. The bass comes off the rim smooth and easy. You can try for the overtone with leather, it peeks out but the primary tone comes back strong. Wood plays the upper notes clearly. Marked down for the physical crack, a fine value on an old style bowl. With overtones at F5, E6.
