3923 Large Extra Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with Balanced tones #3923
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand |
Extra thick large Thadobati with a flared out shape. The bowl is smooth to the touch with deep irregular hash marks under consistent patina. Nicely balanced soundscape with a swirling overtone matching a pulsing bass. Both notes become mellower, not oscillating a deeply over the course of the good sustain. Premium harmony. Smooth and easy off the rim, nice and pure bass or overtone. The overtone has a penetrating quality, most likely from the extra mass of the bowl. With overtones at G5, F#6, C#7, G7.
