Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with multiple fluttering overtones
3976 Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with multiple fluttering overtones
Larger Thadobati with smoky hammermark patina inside. A simply made and well used bowl. Complex and extremely active soundscape with multiple fluttering overtones that simplify throughout the long sustain. There is an almost ineffable texture to the tones, something deep in the mix. Harmony is not so much the point with this bowl as the deep bass plays off on its own. That bass can be played off the rim with leather, the overtones really shine out leather again with more pressure. Wand play for higher notes. . With overtones at B4, A#5, F#6.
