Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with Evolving premium soundscape
4166 Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with Evolving premium soundscape
1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone |
Large heavy Thadobati with slash marks, worn interior etching and rough hammermarks. The bowl has bright brassy patina. Initially active soundscape with flutters almost to the point of being solid as it focuses on the overtone during the excellent sustain. Well balanced with premium harmony. The rim is very bass centric, good if you are playing for the low tone. Leather however you spin it, even the massive yew wand go to the overtone. The recording has me pressing the rim to tease out overtones with simple wood and the hardest massive wand. With overtones at B4, A#5, F#6, C7.
