Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet active soun

4284 Large Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet active soun

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand

Heavy large Thadobati with faint inner circles and a mix of decorative dots and slash marks outside. Weighing over 2 Lbs. this is quite a substantial bowl. Sweet and active soundscape, mostly the two main notes which pulse at about the same rate. The bowl can be played more for the bass with a softer mallet like the N55. Sustain is ok. Rim play is a mix of bass and overtones, brighter with wood. The rim has some hammermarks in it so the massive yew wand is better at taming it than simple wood. Good rim sustain with the wand. With overtones at F#5, F6, C7.
