Large Thadobati with tall sides and rich dark interior patina. Richly complex soundscape with multiple harmonious tones playing together. The bass is solid, first overtone with a gentle woo-woo pulse and a brassy higher register. Excellent longevity, this bowl is outstanding in that regard – even with a light tap as in the recording. Premium harmony. The bowl is also highly responsive, plays quite differently with the different mallets in the large set – something I would recommend with this bowl if you are one who appreciates different mallet moods. Great rim play – that harmonious complexity can be played with leather, also the purer overtones without the bass can also be played with leather by changing technique.
