Thick Adorned Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with evolving sustain

4362 Thick Adorned Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with evolving sustain

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand then FP Purple Amaranth Wand

Graceful Thadobati with rich dark patina. The hammermarks show wonderfully with a light and dark pattern, the extensive etching is clear and the rim slopes inward. This is a thick bowl with some Remuna like features. Initially active with a quickly oscillating fundamental tone and less active overtone this bowl’s soundscape evolves from pulsing to solid over the course of an excellent sustain. The bowl is quite large for such a high tone. Simple and straightforward off the rim. Clear and pure notes bass to second overtone with leather, wood (much better the massive yew wand) and tiny purple amaranth. With overtones at G5, , C#7.
