Antique Large Thadobati Singing Bowl with siren like overtone
4482 Antique Large Thadobati Singing Bowl with siren like overtone
1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap |
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather low then overtone followed by FP Ebony Wand |
Big hefty Thadobati with lots of worn etching, even up the sidewalls. Nice consistent color, broad flat bottom. Three tone soundscape, one where you can follow lo-mid and high. A Siren-like overtone takes over from the pulsing bass but only late into the excellent sustain. Excellent leather play off the smooth rim for the mellow bass or the 524 Hz overtone. Especially the overtone can come off with room filling power. The ebony wand gives the flavor of the higher overtones. With overtones at C5, , , .
