Antique low bulge Thadobati Singing Bowl with lolling fundamental #4665

4665 Antique low bulge Thadobati Singing Bowl with lolling fundamental #4665

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather low then overtone

Larger “low bulge” Thadobati. This substyle has a very heavy bottom with the widest part being low down the side of the bowl. In addition it has distinct artwork with wide and narrow inner circles, a two texture exterior, smooth on top inside etched bands and rough below. Finally as almost a counter to the bottom the rim is thin. Slow moving soundscape with a lolling fundamental and even more solid overtone. Quite gentle. Well balanced premium harmony, sustain is ok. This style bowl is a dream to play with leather with its long sloped side. Bass or overtone depending on technique. The overtone has incredible longevity, you can spin the bowl and let it sing on. Some high overtone with tiny hard wands. With overtones at D#5, D#6, A6. Perfect A3 – 220 Hz.
