Large thick circle pattern Thadobati with worn deeply etched inner circles. with its wide crushed rim and thickness this bowl has the characteristics of great antiquity. Incredibly sweet high tone soundscape with a mixture of fluffing overtone and bouncing fundamental. There is this rare “hollow” component to the soundscape that draws attention. Exceptional tone and harmony. Using the rim to separate partials it is clear the hollowness comes from the fundamental, a ghostly haze around the tone, the overtone comes up to volume, then flutters, the next high takes some teasing with the wand. Great rim longevity, exceptional sound and a rare style very old bowl. With overtones at A5, G6, D#7.
