Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with precious metal content #2196
2196 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with precious metal content #2196
1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet followed by S 9 single taps. |
2. Rim Play: FP Massive Vermilion Wand |
Extra Thick very old style Thadobati with deep and extensive artwork and interesting original patina. Sweet extremely high primary tone with a pronounced flutter. The sound quiets quickly but then continues for a good bit of time quiet but audible. Excellent bowl to follow into silence. Only way to get sound off the sharp rim is with massive wood. This is a tremendous example of this old style bowl, one I have rotated out of my private collection, acquired in 2012 from a source who has passed from the scene. The bowl was assayed and has a precious metal (IR) content of approximately $500. With overtones at C#7, C#8.
