Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a softly lilting main tone

2310 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a softly lilting main tone

Heavy thick Thadobati with a wide deeply incuse rim. Simple soundscape with a softly lilting main note and a subtle supporting overtone. Very good harmony and longevity. Sound is more lively with a very high mallet. Off the rim this thick bowl plays easily with a simple stick, leather or wood play about the same with the slightest hint of a far away upper frequency. I liked this bowl a lot, collected in Nepal in 2008, rotated out of my private stock. With overtones at E6, D#7, A#5.
