Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with pulsing bass and fluttering high

2985 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with pulsing bass and fluttering high

Simple bright Thadobati with hammermarks but no etching. We collected this bowl in 2014. Despite the years it is the same bright brassy color it had when we first saw it in the Himalayas. A fast pulsing bass and rapidly fluttering high make for an energizing soundscape. Premium harmony and excellent longevity. Excellent rim play. Strong leather bass and lots of high frequency power with wood and wand. Rim sustain is as good as with a mallet. With overtones at C6, A#6, F#7, C8.
