Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with softly active fundamental
5074 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with softly active fundamental
Extra thick Thadobati with straight walls and a broad inner facing rim. You can still see quite a bit of the extensive art originally on all surfaces. The wear on the deep artwork shows this old style bowl has seen a lot of use. Dual tone soundscape with a very high strike tone and 7th octave overtone. Its a pleasing combination with the overtone coming on in the first few seconds then fading back for the softly active strike tone. Longevity is ok. The bowl needs the extra heft of more wood, easiest with a massive zebrawood wand , smoothest with the massive yew wand, tolerable with a larger stick. Not much rim sustain. With overtone at D7. Perfect A5 (432 Hz Scale) – 864 Hz.
