Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with complex and subdued overtones
5643 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with complex and subdued overtones
Flat bottomed small Thadobati with dark patina. The artist used the unusual shape highlighting the bottom with clear etching. Complex initial sound, lots of overtones, but subdued nonetheless that drops volume without simplifying. Not much sustain. Rim play brings out overtones, smoother with a wand than a basic stick. With overtones at E6, D7, B5.
