Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with three fluttering tones
5911 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with three fluttering tones
1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N101 Small Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Kingwood Wand |
Thadobati with rich patina that highlights its hammermarks. This bowl is worn smooth with faint etching inside. A three tone soundscape rolls along with premium harmony. The notes flutter and sing together for the first 15 seconds or so then the very highest and very lowest successively drop out. Nice effect. Good, not great sustain. Great rim play, some real bass with leather – hard with these small bowls. Wood smoothly sings out highs then listen to how the kingwood wand teases the next high out at the end of recording 2. With overtones at D6, C7, G#7. Solfeggio – RE 417 Hz.
