Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet high pitched flutter

7012 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with sweet high pitched flutter

Incredibly tiny little bowl – a real work of art only 3 inches across. It has dark, almost black patina. This is as small as singing bowls get. Sweet high pitched fluttering and somewhat complex toneset, rather wonderful to have this kind of sound come out of such a tiny object. Longevity is short as would be expected with the size. The bowl does retain volume initially rather than drop off . It takes some patience to spin sound off the rim, though you are rewarded with a nice high pitch. I would say for this bowl skip the mallet and just buy the Kingwood wand to tap the bowl and try for that bit of rim play. With overtone at D7.
