Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering fundamental

7030 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering fundamental

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.
2 Medium Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Tulipwood Wand

Thick worn Thadobati with copper sparkles deep in the bottom center. The bowl has dark patina and vestiges of a double inner circle. A fluttering fundamental note is matched by a solid overtone. Only very late in the good sustain does the high drop out. Lots of power in the bowl, a strong strike brings out the volume. with a bit of pressure the fundamental sings smoothly off the rim with leather, same note with simple wood. For the satisfying overtone a wand is required, tulipwood best. With overtones at G6, F7.
