Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering bass and solid overtone #7084

7084 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering bass and solid overtone #7084

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather then wood

Thick Thadobati with a broad swathe of etching around the outside of the bowl. This is a one of a kind piece which must have taken days of careful work. Really pleasant soundscape with a fluttering bass and solid overtone. They both continue together proportionally throughout the good long sustain. In a bit of a twist the fluttering in the bass evens out so you have two solid tones at the end, nice effect. Really nice basic rim play. Smooth bass with leather, smooth and strong overtone with simple wood with excellent overtone rim sustain. Even though this is a smaller bowl you need the mass of a big stick to move it along. With overtones at C6, B6.
