Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering high pitches

7517 Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with fluttering high pitches

1. Best S 9 Small Very High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood

Thick small Thadobati, with hallmarks of great age such as rich patina and a wide inner facing rim. The bowl is deliciously smooth to the touch from long wear, and is still quite thick despite the use. Fluttering high pitched fundamental and penetrating solid overtone play in a duet. As the sustain continues the fluttering fundamental becomes the solid sole tone. Nice transition. Good harmony and sustain. Simple wood or wands will spin the two tones off the rim somewhat roughly. A fine high frequency bowl. With overtone at C#7.
