Small Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with Woo-woo overtone #7553
7553 Small Thick Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with Woo-woo overtone #7553
1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap. |
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick wood (bass) followed by FP Ebony Wand (overtone) and Kingwood (next high) |
Thick Thadobati with worn etching and rough but colorful patina. Woo-woo overtone and fluttering fundamental in an active and focused soundscape. It has a peaceful demeanor, probably because of the moderating influence of the oscillations playing off each other. Good sustain. Excellent rim play. There bowl is hefty enough to sing the bass with a larger wood stick. The first overtone can be played purely with an ebony wand and the next tone up, intense and penetrating can be teased out with kingwood. With overtones at F6, E7.
