Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with deep tone that sings and pulses
9842 Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with deep tone that sings and pulses
1. Best S 5 Small Medium Mallet single tap. |
2 Medium Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Yew Wand |
Flat bottomed Thadobati with rich dark patina and a minimum of artwork. A finely crafted bowl, no hammermarks are visible with a clear short inscription. One feature the artist did add is a deep line around the bottom exterior which sort of gives the impression of the bowl being on a stand. Interesting effect. Rich deep tone for such a small and especially thick bowl. It sings and pulses. Sustain if pretty good. Leather plays the bass off the rim smoothly. The only way to tame the sharp rim for the overtone is a soft yew wand. With overtones at A#5, A#6, F7.
