7534 Tiny Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with overtone discontinuity #7534

1. Best L 6 Large Medium Mallet single tap.

Thick mid-size Thadobati, smooth to the touch that looks like it could be made of molded putty. Just a bit of artwork remains,. Clear overtones to start followed by a nicely in tune A440 fundamental. That tone pulses gently and evenly, not too fast or slow. There is in the first second or two an out of place overtone. This can be avoided with a softer mallet and play. Fine longevity. Great rim play, bass with leather overtone with wood. Either a massive or tiny wand will do for the overtone. Excellent rim sustain. Marked down for the little sonic flaw. With overtones at D#6, D7. Perfect A above Middle C – 440 Hz.
