Small Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a surprise overtone emergence #7698

7698 Small Antique Thadobati Singing Bowl with a surprise overtone emergence #7698

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather then wood followed by FP Tulipwood Wand then FP Kingwood Wand

Simple Thadobati with original patina. This small bowl has a wide flat bottom. Active brassy and complex soundscape with the surprise emergence of a second overtone part way into the very good sustain. Premium harmony with a steady overtone and second high sandwiching the note in between. Rim play is ok with a basic stick, bass and a mix of overtones. The bowl has its hidden highs that really take a wand to spin out. Just listen to the end of recording 2 as I push the rim to hit the second overtone. Once it catches the bowl could fill a room with sound. With overtones at C6, B6, F#7, C8.
