Large trapezoid encrusted with colorful very dark patina. Copper sparkles shine through in places. Underneath it all are the vestiges of the original etching. Spectacular sounding large Trapezoid with that initial intriguing hollow ghost like sound that fades into a pure solid fundamental note. Longevity is only 20 seconds or so. Multiple taps are a really nice way to play the bowl, accentuating the initial intriguing sound (second part recording 1). The one tone to play off the rim is the bass – leather only. This is a nice bowl to continuously spin, good grip means a lot of sound for not much motion. No woods needed. With overtone at G#5.
