Antique Trapezoid Singing Bowl with steady metallic overtone. #9814

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet followed by S 9 single tap.

Straight sided trapezoidal bowl with brassy patina. The bowl’s worn features include 7 inner circles and a broad outward facing rim. This style bowl has a unique soundscape, simple but profound. To some they sound hollow or haunting. They are excellent when grouped together. This bowl features a rapidly fluttering strike tone with a metallic steady overtone. With multiple taps the bowl sings with a brighter timbre. Lots of character. Can be played weakly with a stick if you really lean into it. With overtones at G6, C#7.
