Large Antique Ultabati Singing Bowl with incredibly deep 60 Hz bass #971

1. Best L1 Large Soft White Felt Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather low then overtone

Simple Ultabati with prominent hammermarks and rich coloration inside and out. The bowl is relatively low and thin which accounts for the first octave tone.

Amazing super deep soundscape an incredible 60 Hz which is very hard to record and convey over the internet played with a mallet. The bowl has premium harmony, with the still deep overtone of 166 Hz E3 matching well.

Stick play takes a bit f skill for the fundamental while the overtone comes out almost automatically. The technique I used for the bass which is in my long video as well is a quick back and forth motion over a small portion of the side of the bowl. This is an extremely rare piece, usually very low bowls are paper thin but this bowl is instead substantial. At 60 Hz it is one of the deepest bowls I’ve come across ever. With overtones at E3, D#4.
