Large Antique Ultabati Singing Bowl with beautiful external patina #983

Large Ultabati with absolutely fantastic external patina. The color is a rich brown with prominent hammermarks. The etching is clear, the shape an expertly hammered curve. This thick and heavy bowl is smooth to the touch and inside is a contrasting rust/red color.

Deep and peaceful soundscape, the overtone pulses slowly and evenly while the bass rumbles below. This big bowl has lots of projection power. Both harmony and longevity are good.

Even though this is a very old and worn bowl the rim simply is not shaped for satisfying rim play. You can spin a gentle low rumble with leather and a scratchy overtone with wood. This is a beautiful bowl, very much made to strike with the proper mallet.. With overtones at D4, D5.
