Large Flawed Antique Ultabati Singing Bowl with a soothing soundscape #984

1. Best XL 1 Extra Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N103 Large Ringing Stick leather

Solid seeming Ultabati with simple artwork and dark patina. The bowl has prominent hammermarks and in the case of this bowl a bit too robust. In one spot on the side of the bowl there are two pinholes you can shine light through which look to me like the result of an errant hammer blow.

Soothing deep soundscape, very steady with little change over the course of the ok sustain. The bowl is extremely bass centric unusual in this style considering the thickness. As far as the physical flaw goes, it is possible to hit the bowl in such a way as to bring out the sound however it is quite easy to avoid it.

With a ringing stick you can spin that intensely low bass actually quite easily. I recommend the largest ringing stick, usually reserved for larger bowls, to tame the very active rim. Intense overtones spin easily with leather as well. With overtone at F#4.
