Gracefully shaped bowl, bright in color with minimal etching. It has a super heavy flat base that really performs like a pedestal base. I suspect, based on the etching that this is a later 20th century bowl.
Spectacular premium soundscape, bell like clarity with smooth internal harmonies. The bowl is very responsive to different mallets with the higher tone ones bringing out more of the harmonious complexity. Intensely penetrating with very good longevity.
Great smooth rim play, pure deep bass or intense overtone with leather. Wood plays a mix of tones, though not smooth as silk like leather. The shape and weight distribution makes this a great bowl to spin. Rated exceptional for the soundscape. With overtones at C#5, C6, G#6.
