Exceptional Antique Singing Bowl with a hauntingly resonant mix of tones

77005 Exceptional Antique Singing Bowl with a hauntingly resonant mix of tones

1. Best L 2 Large Very Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N105 XL Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Vermilion Wand then FP Massive Yew Wand

Unusual straight sided bowl, extremely thick and heavy with deep hand etching inside and out. The bowl has creamy original patina. A closer look reveals a worn pattern of incredibly detailed exterior etching. One of a kind. hauntingly resonant mix of overtones lead by a 5th octave overtone underpinned by a solid bass. After the initial complexity the sound settles to the super solid bass and first partial – a rare combination. Longevity is off the charts exceptional. The staying power is awesome, especially for a duet. Great leather rim play, that long playing bass tone comes up effortlessly. For rim play massive wands are best, listen to the two different ones used. I like the last, yew but some may prefer the less focused Vermillion sound. While $1000 for a bowl like this is not really out of line it is a bit high. The reason is I wouldn’t mind holding on to it myself. This bowl is so unusual and strong – not to mention the unique artwork. It is yours to have for the price. Rare and Exceptional. With overtones at F5, D#6, D#8, D#7.
