Large Thick Antique Unique Singing Bowl with sonic echo #77022

77022 Large Thick Antique Unique Singing Bowl with sonic echo #77022

1. Best S 7 Small Medium High Mallet followed by S 9 single taps.

Short flat very thick bowl with an amazing amount of artwork. Inside it has a mandala made with punch circles and gracefully curved geometrically arranged lines. The rim is etched with swirling circles, The side of the bowl has banded punch circles on top and unique artwork down the side and to the bottom. The bowl has original patina. Great example of unique old bowl art. Bright initial sound more the high bass than the overtone. With the highest tone mallet more upper level play. The soundscape has this quality, not really able to be captured in a recording, where the sound creates a bit of an echo in your brain. Quite unusual. The harmony is good, sustain quite weak as this is one of those super thick bowls that resist maintaining the sound. Not really a rim singer, too rough. Still this is an amazing bowl with incredible artwork and super thick walls.
