Gracefully shaped and elaborately etched singing bowl in a shape reminiscent of an anvil. The bowl has a tight waist to offset a wide bottom and top. The bowl is incredibly thick with an outer facing rim etched with lines. The bowl has original patina. An incredible rare piece of singing bowl artistry.
Beautiful bell like start with a trace of complex hollowness. The soundscape rapidly evolves first shedding the initial overtone simplifying into the pure pulsing 432 Hz fundamental tone. This is followed by a fleeting of that tone’s activity to a solid carrier tone. Exceptional soundscape, rare and amazing.
This is not a bowl to spin around the rim, too smooth, too pointed an edge. However I couldn’t help but make a recording of tapping the bowl with a wooden stick. Just amazing the hidden complexities revealed. Great one of a kind bowl.- rated exceptional, of course.. With overtones at F6, A6, C7. Perfect A above Middle C (432 Hz Scale) – 432 Hz.
