Unusual Large bowl featuring a broad rim elaborately etched with three swimming fish chasing a well defined leaf. This thick and heavy bowl has a deliberately rugged exterior featuring a wide belly. The inside has no artwork, just rich multi-colored patina. The outside, too is dark and almost encrusted. This bowl could well be hundreds of years old.

Excellent leather rim play, this is a great bowl to drone. The worn rim makes for smooth play, while a bit of texture makes contact easier. The volume slowly builds. The shape and weight make the bowl easy to control. If desired it can be spun to intense volume, a lighter hand can maintain a comfortable volume level. You can get a bit of high tone out with wood but it is rough and weak – stick to leather. With overtones at A#5, G#6.
