Thick low profile wide bellied bowl from India, quite large almost 10 inches. It is beautifully hand polished, obviously a feature of long term care. The interior etching is extensive and wild. Outside below the rim is a double set of lines outlining the top of the wide belly. Unusual and unique. Resonant bell like sound with a rapidly pulsing bass and also rapidly pulsing overtone. The oscillations mellow out as the bowl goes through its very good sustain. While you might be able to get this bowl to go with leather, wood is just fine. The rim is pretty smooth from polishing. Excellent sustain. With overtones at F5, D#6.
