Thick low sided bowl from India, large and heavy It has uneven patina and is very smooth to the touch. no artwork remains. Unusual multi track soundscape which starts with a strong bass and overtone singing together and later evolves to reveal higher notes. While resonant – and very responsive to different mallets – the bowl is the opposite of harmonious. Still with it’s good sustain and price it has appeal. Quite interesting off the rim, any size stick will play the 1 KHz overtone. With overtones at C5, B5, G6, C7.
