Antique Unique Singing Bowl with fantastic fluttering notes

9898 Antique Unique Singing Bowl with fantastic fluttering notes

1. Best L 4 Large Low Mallet single tap.
2. Rim Play: N102 Medium Ringing Stick leather followed by FP Massive Yew Wand

Large gracefully rounded bowl with a big wide belly and thin outer facing rim. The bowl has rich dark original patina and some nice etching. It also has a bit of unusual Bengali writing on the bottom in red ink, probably notes from the marketplace. Fantastic soundscape with fluttering low and high notes, both strong and both lasting in their activity throughout the excellent sustain. Premium quality sound for sure. Stick play is really satisfying. Very simple, leather plays the bass and it takes a massive wand, best Yew, to power out the overtone. Either of the two mani notes have spectacular sustain. This is an unusual style bowl with excellent sonic characteristics. With overtones at F#5, F6.
