Mallets with long handles and light heads are the easiest way to get full sound out of smaller singing bowls. The yarn covered head plays more smoothly than tapping with a hard wood or leather ringing stick.  The long handle gives you better control over the volume and makes it easy to ring multiple bowls. Being small and light, this small wood mallet will not push your bowl around like the larger felt Nepali mallets.

Item Description: Inexpensive small yarn covered rubber mallet with a thin dark colored wooden handle.   Individually made, they vary a bit in size and hardness. They also vary in the color of the wood, the photo with two mini mallets shows the range.

This general purpose small wood mallet is not like the precision Musser mallets that can be individually chosen to accentuate different frequencies within a bowl. The head size is similar to Musser mallets with a shorter stiffer handle.
