Amazing experience! The bell (singing bowl) that we bought exceeded all expectations. Exquisite sound! Ryan's website was very helpful for examinging the bells; images and recordings of each bell helped me experience each bell. The ability to listen to a specific bowl online is helpful, but it's not the same as when you play them at home. The bowls still fit in, just in different ways, spreading their healing vibrations.

I have been collecting antique singing bowls for over 10 years and just recently discovered Best Singing Bowls’ online store. In a short time, it has become my go-to for finding new bowls that add interest to my singing bowl arrangements. BSB’s inventory is quite large and includes types of antique bronze bowls with different geometries and thicknesses I haven’t seen or listened to before. At first, I was drawn just to familiar jambati and thadobati bowls, but after exploring other possibilities I have become a fan of the otherly-appearing trapezoid bowl. The first one I selected sounds cold as steel and reminds me of the clang of a temple bell I heard every day I was in Varanasi 24 years ago. Another small trapezoid I found has a tone similar to its thadobati companions and contributes a well-tuned 5th octave G#, the new crowning high note of my bowl set. My singing bowl experience has also been enlivened by the Best Singing Bowls Precision Mallet sets. The weights and hardness’s of the mallet heads are designed to produce varying tone colors for small, medium and large bowls. The length and balance of the stick handles make it easier for me to reach bowls and strike them accurately in a timely way with less effort than before. They are fun to use and have mostly replaced my use of other strikers. I love to play the bowls and listen to their tones and harmonics interacting to create kaleidoscopic, resonant patterns that gradually fade away into silence when playing stops. For me, it is an exquisite and deeply comforting sound (and no sound) experience. As others mention, the sound recordings and detailed physical descriptions on the website make it easy to compare bowls and select one that best suits your needs. I was looking for a singing bowl. Started by looking at new bowls that were priced ridiculously and were obviously factory produced. I stumbled upon this site and filled out the contact form. I have been wanting to own a singing bowl for a long time and finally have received a beautiful one from Ryan. The difference between contemporary and antique bowls, as I have learned from Ryan, is the constant singing that has accommodated the molecules of the metals through decades to produce the most sublime tones and chords, this is impossible in a contemporary bowl. I love this shop! I bought a beautiful old bowl from here in 2016, recently went back to browse bowls, and discovered that you can get informative certificates for each bowl now. I thought there was no way they would have one for the bowl I bought, but reached out anyway; my 2016 bowl was still on record! I will be 100% honest, I was unsure about buying from this website at first as it does not look like the typical website. However I am beyond glad I did and I will never buy from anywhere else again!! I had technical issues when trying to buy my bowl and Ryan was incredibly helpful in making sure I still secured the bowl that I had chosen. The certificate for the bowl was incredibly detailed and informative and I would highly recommend getting it for any bowl you choose. What a refreshing experience in a world where service is archaic. A year ago I had questions regarding bowls care. Ryan was diligent and wiling to answer them regardless of the fact I had not purchased bowls from Best Singing Bowls prior - and nor at that time. I've purchased three bowls from Ryan, each is amazing in it's own way. I prefer bowls with a lower pitch and Ryan's fantastic web site tools makes finding your perfect bowl easy. The selection is so large I listened for hours to make my final cut, as you have to appreciate the personality of each bowl, (even if it doesn't make it to the top of your list). Ryan is extremely responsive as well, I sent him an email with some questions and rather than e-reply he called me back same day and had a great conversation about everything bowl related. Sometimes I use them for meditation and others I just like to listen to the voice and energy of something this old. Definitely the Best Singing Bowls! Update 9/2020 I purchased another amazing bowl from the deep mirror collection. Superlative bowl, it looks to have been cherished for a long time (and will continue to be). Sounded even better in person, amazing personality with such a clear voice. Best Singing Bowls is fantastic. On their website they not only have a wide variety of singing bowls to choose from, but they describe each in tremendous and candid detail (including what might be considered flaws by some, like 'fairly good sustain' 'just okay rim play'). More importantly, they include a sample recording of each bowl, and identify the nearest western scale pitch each provides. You can even sort the search results by pitch and Hz. (This was crucial for me, as I bought my first singing bowl off Amazon from another seller, and the pitch was high and disappointing.) The customer service is above and beyond. After I placed my order, I received steady communication confirming the order and its status. Then I received an email from Ryan pointing out that I may want to order a mallet if I didn't have one, and let me know which mallet was used for the recording on the website. This was not presented like a typical upsell at all. Being new to using singing bowls, I had thought I could get by with the ringing stick I already had, but I really preferred the soft attack of the mallet as used on the recording. Ryan's guidance was really helpful and saved me time. It didn't feel like I was being pressured to just spend more money. When the shipment arrived the bowl and mallet were perfect, but the mat was the wrong design. I contacted BSB and they apologized and immediately shipped out the correct mat, even including a handwritten note of apology from Corrina. I cannot say enough good things about Best Singing Bowls, they are awesome!!!

I bought a few bowls from Ryan about a year ago. I had no experience, but thought it might be fun to give them a try.
