Thick and heavy Jambati, compact yet almost 5 Lbs., with colorful dark patina. The bowl has light etching and visible exterior hammermarks. Deep and quiet bowl, very bass centric, a great bowl if you want a focused under 100 Hz bowl. Longevity is fine. Fine rim play, though the bass is less focused off the rim than with a mallet. The overtones with leather spin more complexity than you hear with the mallet as well, the hidden tones that add to the sonic experience. With overtones at D4, C#5.
