Large
Large singing bowls are capable of the deepest tones, way down to the bottom of the 2nd octave. You need a bowl that is at least 9 inches and better 10 or 11 to play under 100 Hz. Only the largest styles, Jambati and Ultabati, are sized above 9 inches. In other singing bowl styles a large bowl is 6 1/2 or 7 inches.is a large bowl. I’ve never seen a 9 inch Mani or 8 inch Trapezoid or Pedestal bowl. You can find the rare Thadobati over 9 inches. I’ve read about Manipuri as big as Jambati – but never seen one.
